The Sports Confidant You’ve Been Searching For

Hey there! Welcome to the Sports Confidant blog! My name is Cody, and I am a grad student studying Business Analytics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I recently graduated from Wisconsin with two degrees in Finance and Real Estate. As you can probably already tell, I have way too many passions to count (sports most definitely being one of them). Hopefully I will be able to share a lot of them through this blog.

The main things I plan for this blog to cover are: baseball analytics (sabermetrics), fantasy football, and March Madness. I hope over time I will gain your trust through my analytical skills that give me a competitive advantage in these areas. My recent track record in fantasy football and March Madness is very impressive; I will share it when the appropriate time comes.

I hope to both help my audience and grow myself through this blog. My main goals of the blog are to develop stronger written communication skills, communicate data and statistics more efficiently, and pursue my passions of sports, data, and analytics. Therefore, I expect a lot of this blog to center around sports analytics as I hope to show my skills and grow in this field.

The power of the collective is much stronger than that of the mere individual. I have spent the last week collecting a team of some of the most intelligent, hardworking, creative, and kind people I know. I will make sure their work doesn’t go unheard. Their names and talents will be displayed in the “About Me” section of the blog.

I hope you all are as excited as I am! Please check out my posts, follow me on Instagram and Twitter (@SportsConfidant), and subscribe to the blog.
